SATA Reshuffles His Cabinet, Appoints Masebo As Minister

Flash Back: President Sata On Facebook
President Michael Sata has re-shuffled cabinet and brought back two ministries he removed a few months ago.

Sylvia Masebo has been given a cabinet ministry in charge of Tourism which has been de-linked from Foreign Affairs. This was how it was in the last government.

Kennedy Sakeni will be the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting, while Fackson Shamenda goes to labour which is now a full cabinet ministry again just like in the MMD before Sata delinked them.

Edgar Lungu becomes new Minister of Home Affairs.

I now believe what pipo say ati if one smokes a joint of daggar it will take 5 years to go out. This is Ibange at work and we aint seen nothing yet.

Anynody who has hope in Ukwa [CNP] must be very dull. Surely this is not a man who can deliver and none of all his promises has come to fruition. While people are drawing their attention to his tung his relatives are busy feeling their pockets. After five years of his rule, even the little that is in reserve will be stollen by these Kolwestans. Stealing is their nature and they cant do without it. To them stealing ku toola fye, and they say uulima mwibala alya mwibala. SHAME ON THEM!

Can RB comment on this appointment. My big man Levy Mwanawasa left this country on the right truck after seven years of brainstorming and hard work. Foolish Nyama Soya behaved as if all what Levy did was useless and made a free for all Government. Unfortunately the current Government is like a headless chicken which doesnt know where to go.

  4. kakolwe   July 11, 2012 at 5:46 am

Can someone plz give me the names of MCSs advisors? They are failures. Or the big man ignores them.
    CNP + cipante-pante!

  5. Ba-Daddy   July 11, 2012 at 6:02 am

Didn’t he promise to keep a small cabinet?
Isn’t this the man who said he wants to minimize expenditures on government?

This is totally the opposite. New ministries, lots and lots of districts, new provinces etc.

ALL THESE ARE EXPENSES. Where is Sata taking us?

  6. Ba-Daddy   July 11, 2012 at 6:09 am

The Ministry of Tourism has specifically been de-linked or created specifically for Sylvia Masebo. Nepotism at work in PF government.

Iam greatly disappointed……..anyway wil retire the BIG MAN & Wynter Kabimba wil take OVER in2016 since he promised 1term only.

demagoguery that they almost succeeded in concealing has become unmistakable to every Zambian who has a basic ability to read between the lines….one thing inevitable is that the people will wake up again from their slumber and kick the demagogues out…September 2011 electorates envisioned a meaningful leadership and not this Hullabaloo….pride comes before the fall and i can smell another revolution

  11. Umuchinzi Wamonona   July 11, 2012 at 8:53 am

Mr President congratulations for appointing Silvia, a woman of substance to this important portfolio. Restructuring all institutions under Government and advertising all positions of Members of the Board of Directors, CEO and Directors is key to re-align this country on the right path again. America and South Africa are successful because of this. How do you expect one to perform in Tourism when they have no knowledge of the sector? ZAMBIA COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Concerned   July 11, 2012 at 9:05 am

@ Umuchinzi u can literally lick arse thats what u are…..

You Zambian now you see, Chanda Chimba asked you @ “can you trust Michael Sata” and the answer you gave it was what you needed was change, so dn’t complain because you were ready for this drama.

  17. NONDE   July 11, 2012 at 9:55 am

i believe we can now see that the campaign motto’more money in your pocket’ has turned out to be more government expenditure.Sata promised to reduce cabinet, but Msebo is new minister now.I am sure most of us know the cost of ministerial veichles they have bought.lets accept this man has come to finish the litle Chiluba left.i dot trust pf anymore.

Will the circus please stop? Lol, Mr. Sata is surely ‘destined for greater things’ – master comedian! At least he makes me laugh with his dry sense of humour & ubushilu!

  21. GunnerME   July 11, 2012 at 10:41 am

Any way the big man knows what he is doing, i am supprised that no one is talking about the removal of user fees in clinics, i and my family have benefited, so lets shut up and wait for more development.

  24. lac98   July 11, 2012 at 11:05 am

please people learn to read between the lines ministry of tourism existed except it was combined with foreign affairs . may due to the vast job involved to people could not perform to capacity hence the delink .

  25. Big Ken   July 11, 2012 at 11:16 am

@Style Phiri You are blind and daft. After all your have mentioned!……and we see the Kwacha gaining against major currencies. I am busy importing machinery now for my dairy farm.

  28. GunnerME   July 11, 2012 at 11:54 am

    Firing, re-hiring, re-alignment, de-linking, re-linking, de-basing – A sign of lack of aticulate planning!

  30. Dr.Kaunda   July 11, 2012 at 12:25 pm

Can Rupiah comment on this appointment. My big man Levy Mwanawasa(MHSRIP) left this country on the right truck after 7years of good readership and hard work. Foolish Nyama Soya behaved as if all what Levy did was useless and made a free for all Government. Unfortunately the current Government is like a headless chicken which doesnt know where to go…..nonsence

  31. GunneME   July 11, 2012 at 12:30 pm

@Big Ken or is it super ken lol! What can I say about you when you seem to reason like a cadre or worse of it all like the no plan fella???

  32. kakolwe   July 11, 2012 at 12:54 pm

Mr. Sata, first an announcement that you are renegging on your first ‘blind’ thoughts & state that you are make a correction of your 1st mistakes as president. Soon you’ll add bu chipante-panter to your CNP tag. Plz, for your own sake, reshuffle you advisors.

Tumfweko please delete comment by true bantustans. The guy is not tonga and is trying to bring tongas in this his uncourth reasoning.

  35. GunnerME   July 11, 2012 at 4:18 pm

It seems to me that PF is actually MMD part 2 in disguise! Sata & PF are starting to embrace the same evils the MMD were practicing.

  36. Nick   July 11, 2012 at 4:37 pm

The once glamorous POST has already defended this move. I tried to reason with a few friends that when people pushed for Saul to be king, God allowed it so that people can learn a bitter lesson. It’s happening again right here in zed. Problem is noushalimo nao akabamo. We are headed for more troubled waters. God deliver us…

  37. Nick   July 11, 2012 at 5:08 pm

The one with potholes in the head is now a Minister in the PF government. It’s either the Minister is a politiking bootlicker or the other has also now developed potholes in the head.

  38. GunnerME   July 11, 2012 at 6:37 pm

@kakolwe, where ve you been? I miss your comments here! I think you are right about reshuffling the old man’s advisors or maybe we actually need to ‘reshuffle’ Sata himself, lol! @Nick, I like the ‘pothole’ line. Hillarious!

Only foolish heads cant believe that change indeed comes with a lot of expectations and experiments ! This country has been under 20 yrs of mismanagement by MMD,no national transport carrier.i.e road, sea or air ! We require strong leaders like king MIKE and his team to make the much needed radical changes which we are now experiencing ! Bembas brot independence thru CHACHACHA,and cowards from South have always remained behind and cant even protect their own cattle, but end up migrating to other provinces for greener pastures,. .Come on you fellows, burry your pride and come on board. Your cousins have realised that they cant do without MWAMUKOLO . VIVA PF AND ALL THE CHANGES

  47. Balesa BaKulu   July 12, 2012 at 7:10 pm

Zambia tili muchibe!!!! what is happening in Zambia is something unbelievable. Honest speaking I have a problem to believe Mr SATA now. He say this today tomorrow he does the opposite. During Chama campaign he promise the farmers not to burn Cotton that the Government will do somthing, little did i realised that something sometimes means nothing. now I know the meaning of PF it means Phaya Farmer (PF)
Last time he reduced the cabinet and condenm MMD now we are seeing more cabinets being formed.

  48. Tione   July 13, 2012 at 11:00 am

Sata has to sing and illustrate the nursery school song below just to make sure that he hasnt renamed some parts.

Head & shoulders, knees & toes, Knees & toes. Head, shoulders, knees & toes, Knees & toes. And eyes, & ears, and mouth, And nose. Head, shoulders, knees and toes, Knees and toes.
