A married man was caught by his wife after he used his mobile phone to record his mother-in-law taking her clothes off.
Jason Good, 40, was charged with a misdemeanour after his wife contacted police to say she had been looking at her husband’s phone when she found a ‘video of an adult female using the restroom’, an officer said.
Mrs Good was horrified to discover the footage taken at their home in Laurel, Virginia, was of her 57-year-old mother.
She phoned the police department in Henrico County after finding the tape.
When officers arrived to take a statement from Mrs Good she directed them to ‘a hole located in the wall between the garage and the bathroom’.
Good was then interviewed and arrested by officers. If found guilty he could face up to a year in prison or a fine of up to $2,500.
Mrs Good’s mother does not live with the couple and it is unclear if the incident took place over Thanksgiving, according to thesmokinggun.com.
Henrico County police spokesman Lt Eric Owens said in a statement that the crime of filming someone undressing was considered a class 1 misdemeanor and was punishable by up to one year in jail.
He said that Mrs Good discovered the video while looking through her husband’s mobile. The woman recognized her mother in the video and called police.
